2012 "LETS MOVE" DURANT BAPTIST

Sponsored by DMBC Evangelism Ministry/Singles Ministry

"Let's Move" is a good physical health and weight loss initiative, primarily for the members of

the Durant Missionary Baptist Church.  Our purpose is to acquire better heatlh by "moving our bodies," for at least ONE HOUR every day.

We are looking for 100 members: Men, women children and couples.

There will be five (5) teams (Red, Green, Blue, Pink, Purple)

Each person must be identified by signing in and weighing in

The team that loses the most weight and logs in the most hours of movement will be rewarded with a great prize!

"LAYMEN ON THE MOVE - Mississippi Baptist Union District Association and Congress    Dr. Nathaniel Christian, Moderator   

The Laymen Movement is bringing together of Christian Men in the local Church.for the purpose of carrying out and supporting the mission of the Church.  Men who support their Pastor and the vision God has given him for the local fellowship while supporting the command left by the Savior to go and make disciples.

Who should be part of the Laymen Movement?    All men in the Church should become active members of the Laymen Movement.  This movement is not title/position exclusive.  Deacons, Trustees, Ushers, Shepherd Support Ministry members...ALL Christian Men...are Laymen.

Laymen Profile --  * A true Layman must be a born again Christian   * A Layman must be a Committed and Willing Servant   *  A Layman must be willing to do whatever it takes to advance the Kingdom of God    *  A Layman should serve as a partner and/or co-laborer with his Pastor  *  A Layman should be Loyal to God, Jesus Christ and his Church  * A Layman should seek in an earnest way to lead unsaved men to Christ   *  A Layman should render Loyal service as a faith worker for Jesus Christ   *  A Layman should Study to show himself approved unto God   *  A Layman should be a Cheerful Giver of his time, talent and treasure to the Church.
